Great article from the Journal of Consumer Research via Roger Dooley on the difference it attitude and focus when paying by cash or credit card. Fascinating stuff. Credit card purchase focus more on benefits, less on price; cash purchases focus more on price, less on benefits.
I’m sure that’s why a classic early B2C sales cycle question is, “How would you be paying, hypothetically: cash or credit card?”
